Michael D. Karras is an attorney with G. Eric Nielson & Associates. Michael has spent his entire legal career litigating complex medical malpractice cases. Prior to joining G. Eric Nielson & Associates, Michael worked with one of the largest medical malpractice defense firms in Indiana. Since returning home to Utah, he now uses the experience he gained defending physicians and health care providers to fight for the rights of injured patients. His practice is devoted solely to representing victims of medical negligence and faulty medical devices.
Michael graduated from the the University of Utah with a degree Philosophy. While in school, he served as a Coalition Director of a gubernatorial campaign in New Mexico and as legislative intern for Utah House Speaker Marty Stephens.
Michael enrolled in Notre Dame Law School in 2004, where he was a member of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team. He had the opportunity to enroll in Notre Dame’s London Law Program during his second year of law school.
In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, reading about political issues, playing guitar, and playing soccer.
