Ryan M. Springer is an associate with G. Eric Nielson & Associates. A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Ryan graduated from Bingham High School in 1993. From there, he attended college on a debate scholarship, and earned numerous awards as a cross-examination debater. By the end of his freshman year, he and his partner were nationally ranked on the collegiate circuit.

From 1994 to 1996, Ryan served a mission for his church in the West Indies. Although he lived on the island of Trinidad and in Guyana, South America, his work carried him to several islands throughout the Caribbean, including Barbados, Martinique, and Guadeloupe.


Upon his return, Ryan completed his undergraduate education at the University of Utah. He majored in Communication, with an emphasis in analysis and argumentation. He also participated in the University's Honors Program, which offered several courses that helped direct him to law school. He graduated with honors in 2000.


Ryan enrolled at J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, where he served as the Lead Note and Comment Editor of the BYU Journal of Public Law and competed on the school's Trial Advocacy Team. During law school, Ryan also interned with Chief Justice Christine Durham of the Utah Supreme Court, and co-founded and served as the Executive Chair for the BYU Chapter of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy. He received his Juris Doctor in 2003.


Since his admission to the Utah State Bar, Ryan has practiced in various areas of law, from transactional corporate work and commercial litigation to complex personal injury and civil rights cases. Ryan has appeared frequently in State and Federal Courts, and has handled matters at both district and appellate levels.


Ryan's practice is currently limited to representing victims of medical malpractice. He has successfully represented clients in a wide range of cases, from improper nursing procedures and pharmaceutical error to traumatic birth injuries and wrongful death. In each of these cases, Ryan has recovered substantial awards for his clients, including settlements of over a million dollars.


In his personal life, Ryan is married and has two children. He enjoys cycling, reading, live music, and spending time with his family.
