Ryan M. Springer is an attorney with G. Eric Nielson & Associates.  Ryan’s practice focuses on representing people against insurance companies and other corporations.  Most of his clients are victims of medical malpractice and other negligence.  He has successfully represented clients in a wide range of cases, from improper nursing procedures and pharmaceutical error to traumatic birth injuries and wrongful death.

Ryan works closely with his clients to help them through the difficult process of litigation and recovery.   Obtaining compensation for their injuries is only part of the process, and Ryan believes his clients deserve an advocate who will fight with them every step of the way.  Some lawyers treat their clients as just another file on a shelf, but Ryan never forgets that these are real people with real lives that have been catastrophically altered by someone else’s negligence.  As a result of his efforts, he has high client satisfaction ratings.

A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Ryan graduated with honors from the University of Utah and received his Juris Doctor degree from Brigham Young University.  In law school, Ryan served as the Lead Note and Comment Editor of the BYU Journal of Public Law and competed on the school’s Trial Advocacy Team. He also interned with Chief Justice Christine Durham of the Utah Supreme Court, and co-founded and served as the Executive Chair for the BYU Chapter of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy.

Since his admission to the Utah State Bar, Ryan has practiced in various areas of law, from transactional corporate work and commercial litigation to complex personal injury and civil rights cases. Ryan has appeared regularly in State and Federal Courts, and has handled matters at both district and appellate levels.

Ryan’s commitment to justice has been recognized by his peers and other professional organizations which frequently ask him to present on various legal issues including medical malpractice, general tort law, and the Utah State Constitution.  Ryan serves on the Model Utah Jury Instructions Committee (Civil) for the State of Utah.  Additionally, he serves on the Board of Governors for the Utah Association for Justice and is an active member of the American Association for Justice.  He is also the Vice-Chair of the Medical Malpractice Division of UAJ.

In his personal life, Ryan is married and has two children. He enjoys cycling, reading, live music, and spending time with his family.
